The 23 campus California State Universities (CSU) system is extending the test-optional admissions policy for another year, through Fall 2022 admissions. In other words, current high school juniors in the Class of 2022 will NOT be required to submit SAT or ACT scores as part of their applications to any CSU campus for Fall 2022 admissions.
As the University of California already announced test-optional admissions policies for Fall 2022, all California public universities will continue test-optional for another year.
However, many private universities and other public universities around the United States have not yet announced any extensions of test-optional admissions policies into Fall 2022 admissions.
For current Class of 2022 high school juniors who are contemplating whether to take the SAT or ACT in Spring 2020, FairTest publishes the latest information about test-optional and test blind (where SAT and ACT scores are both not required, nor will be considered if submitted with the application).
