Any advice for seniors going through the application process, especially when applying to MIT?
Megan:
While it’s hard, I think they should try to enjoy the application process because it’s a really good time to reflect and learn about yourself. When applying to MIT, I think they should just be genuine and talk about things that they are really passionate about. Everyone here is different, unique, and “not normal”, but everyone here is also passionate about something (art, sports, science, policy, etc.).

How did and do you apply and refine what you learned about yourself, now that you’re at MIT?
Megan:
It’s definitely helped me shape my extracurriculars and internship searches. It also helps me set goals that get me beyond tough weeks, bad grades, and rough tests.

Megan:
I guess so! 🙂 It’s not an easy process but I think we can at least try to make it rewarding.
